Description
The 2006 Annual Meeting of of the AERA is an event that brings together various members of the education research community. The theme this year will be "Education Research in the Public Interest."
Fiona Helsel (AIR) and Grant Miller (CAST) facilitated a roundtable at AERA’s annual conference to discuss the paper “Identifying evidence-based, promising, and emerging practices that use screen-based and calculator technology to teach mathematics in grades K-12: A research synthesis.” A full table of individuals participated including graduate students, researchers, and practitioners. We gave an overview of CITEd, the goals of the paper, our methodology and findings and then opened up the discussion to the participants to find out what they wanted to know about our work and questions that they had.
