Alternative Identification & Reporting

Description

At the request of the WV DOE Asst. Superintendent, the Special Ed. office began to explore a non-categorical approach to children in Sp. Ed..   As part of the continuous improvement infrastructure support the MRRC Director and WV liaison provided information, research, dialog with other states and facilitation of a stakeholder group.   Following a report to the Asst. Supt., the Sp. Ed. director determined that the opportunity was available to pilot this approach.   A commitment has been made to support this initiative.
