Center Overview
This project will establish a resource to provide current, accurate, and relevant assistive technology (AT) information to the national infrastructure of organizations that work directly with families and children, and thereby strengthen the services the organizations provide. The project will ensure the quality and availability of information and support to families and teachers.
Methods
This project is a partnership of organizations led by the Academy for Educational Development, including the Alliance for Technology Access (ATA), the Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights (PACER Center), the Center for Assistive Technology and Environmental Access (CATEA), and InfoUse. The AED partnership will meet the assistive technology needs of the national organizations through a variety of activities. It maintains and expands the current Family Center on Technology and Disability's organizational network of over 1,100 organizations and provide a rich array of resources to the network and other interested groups and individuals.
